Having a young son can be great fun. Watching them learn and play, aiding in the development of a young mind and I guess being able to show them off to friend and family.
However the down side is the lack of sleep. I have yet to find a method of comunicating to a 22 month old that the Hillbilly stomp dance is not to be performed at 02:30hr. Couple that with a full time job, with long,long hours and having to deal with a department of junior managers and staff, leads to a general exausted collapse at the weekend.
So why then to the weekend staff always conspire to ring me at 07:00hr on a sunday morning to tell me something is broken...........
Sleep, that luxury that fatherhood steels from you.
